PHOENIX — Some people save all year to take a dream vacation in the winter, but if any Valley vacationer got stuck in the Midwest recently because of the weather, their dream could be a nightmare if they did not purchase travel insurance.
“You have to look at a trip like an investment,” said Paul Seiferth, owner of Terra Travel in Mesa. “If you’re making a $5,000 to $10,000 investment, travel insurance makes a lot of sense.”
Premiums typically can increase with age and vary from one insurer to another, but travel insurance can be reasonably priced.
The insurance covers a wide-range of problems include lost luggage, trip interruptions, delays and medical issues.
