Movies in a Minute: ‘Concussion’

The saga of the National Football League and brain injuries is brought to light by Will Smith’s latest film, “Concussion.”
The story itself is fairly interesting, but the movie is slow. At times, it felt like the film was more of a showcase for Smith (who admittedly is really good) rather than a focus on what basically amounted to a cover up by the NFL.
At the end of the movie, it feels like things are just getting good when the credits begin to roll, so I was left a little disappointed by this one.
But, overall, I thought “Concussion” was a good-but-slow movie highlighted by an interesting story and solid performances.
