Tempe Police to host shredding event

PHOENIX — Tempe Police are hosting a personal-papers shredding event Saturday, to help protect against identity theft.

The event at the Tempe Police Substation on Hardy Drive, just north of Warner Road, is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents can bring up to 50 pounds of documents for destruction.

Volunteers will also be accepting donations for Special Olympics; receipts will be provided.
