Multiple accidents on US 60 West bog down morning drive time

PHOENIX — A series of accidents on a freeway in Tempe backed up traffic for miles early Wednesday, but no serious injuries were reported.

U.S. 60 heading into Phoenix was a sea of brake lights from Loop 101 to the interchange with Interstate 10.
Westbound crashes were reported at Mill Avenue, starting around 6 a.m., followed by accidents at McClintock Drive and Dobson Road.
The accident near Mill Avenue created the worst of the congestion.
The mess began to clear up after 7 a.m.
