PHOENIX — Do you want to help the Gilbert Police Department solve crimes? Just click “like.”
The agency announced Tuesday that it has launched the Gilbert Police Crime Solvers page on Facebook. The page will feature crime-related information like wanted people, unidentified suspects and crime trends.
“We believe that two sets of eyes are better than one,” said Lt. John Lyle, who oversees the Gilbert Police Department’s Public Information Office in a press release. “Our hope is that citizens, especially those who live in the East Valley, will assist us with identifying or locating people we are looking for.”
The Facebook page is the latest attempt at digital outreach for the department, which already boasts an app, a Twitter page and another Facebook page.
