Famed Cardinals cheerleader arrested on assault charges

PHOENIX – The Arizona Cardinals cheerleader who gained fame for her service in Iraq was arrested and charged with assaulting her boyfriend.
AZfamily.com reports that Megan Welter was arrested for alleged assault, disorderly conduct and criminal damage.
According to Scottsdale police, Welter and her boyfriend had been drinking excessively when they got into an argument that turned physical.
The incident was caught on video. (WARNING: Explicit language used in raw video.)
Welter called police and said her boyfriend was the first to attack, by first pushing her and then choking her.
But police said that there were no marks on her body at the time of the arrest.
Welter has been a cheerleader with the Arizona Cardinals for the past two years.
