PHOENIX — No one in Phoenix is more dedicated a fan of Chick-fil-A than Howard May.
The proof is that he was the first person in line for the Thursday opening of the chain’s latest Valley outlet, at 16th Street and Camelback Road. It joins 12 others in metro Phoenix.
For his efforts, May, who had been in line since Tuesday, and 99 others earned free food from the purveyor of fast-food for a year.
He spent the long, hot hours before the opening “meeting new friends,” all of whom Wednesday were feted by the staff with breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches for lunch and for “dinner we got to sit inside,” May said.
The new store features a large window so customers can watch their food being prepared.
