PHOENIX — The Arizona State Fair came to a close this week and more than 1.1 million people attended the festivities, officials said.
Attendance was down, but officials seemed pleased it was less than 4 percent, citing rainfall that affected five of the 19 days.
The fair opened Oct. 16 and ended Sunday.

The fair made national headlines when GusGus, a baby pygmy goat, was stolen from his pen. The kid was returned safely shortly after its disappearance.
