Main Street Minute: Job fairs on tap, Mesa retail site to add more shops

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.
• Goodwill of Central Arizona is hosting a job fest Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a handful of its career centers in Maricopa County.
• Hire Live is hosting a free three-hour job fair Tuesday in Phoenix at the Embassy Suites Biltmore. Openings include sales positions, mortgage brokers, financial planners and human resources. Attendees are asked to dress business professional and bring 10-15 resumes. The event begins at 9 a.m.
• A retail area in Mesa will be expanding. The Village Square at Dana Park off the U.S. 60 at Val Vista Drive received city approval to add more shops and restaurants, as well as multifamily housing and a hotel. There’s no timetable on the construction process.
