Phoenix failed to make the cut among the top growing cities, according to data compiled from 2007 to 2011.
According to Phoenix Business Journal, Phoenix once again found itself off the list for Bloomberg’s 12 American Boomtowns.
Phoenix’s failure to crack the list can be attributed to the period of time in which one couldn’t sell or buy homes, greatly stifling GDP and population.
Texas topped the list with Austin ranked first, San Antonio fourth and Houston fifth. Dallas also made the list, coming in at No. 11.
With the effect the recession had on Phoenix, it could lead more people to speculate the city should invest in more than just real estate.
