Report: Phoenix-area wages under US average

A recent report showed the average Phoenix metropolitan worker earned 1 percent under the national average.
According to a release, the Bureau of Labor Statistics found that workers in the Phoenix area made $21.75 per hour, compared to the national average at $22.01 per hour. The largest wages in the Phoenix area were management positions at $47.97 per hour.
Administrative support jobs had the highest local-employment numbers at 17.8 percent. Phoenix also accounted for the sixth-highest customer service employment numbers in the U.S.
