PHOENIX — A Glendale couple stepped forward Thursday to claim the $6.7 million they won from the Arizona Lottery.
Terry and Cheri Westergard purchased the ticket at a Peoria-area Circle K while getting ice. The prize was the largest awarded since April 2010.
“It was a thrill for our staff to present the highest The Pick jackpot check in three years to such a nice couple,” said Karen Bach, director of budget, products, and communications for the Arizona Lottery in a press release. “The Pick is Arizona’s own jackpot game, so it is especially exciting to have a big winner.”
The Westergards opted for the cash option worth $4,502,356.40.
