PHOENIX — Procrastinating taxpayers are headed to post office locations all over the Valley in droves.
“It is one of our busiest mailing days of the year,” said Peter Hass, a USPS spokesman.
The local Postal Service is expected to sort through nearly 20 percent more mail on this particular Monday than on a typical Monday.
The Phoenix Post Office is helping last-minute filers by opening a satellite drive-through drop off from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Phoenix Municipal Stadium parking lot at 56th and East Van Buren streets. Returns must have the proper postage affixed to the mailing.
