As strange as it sounds, marijuana could actually make a huge impact on Arizona’s economy.
Based on an economic analysis, The Phoenix Business Journal reported that an increase in marijuana dispensaries could lead to an additional $34 million in spending and $2 million in revenue for state and local governments in Arizona.
Along with the additional revenue, more activity in the industry could create 460 new jobs and make a new, innovative impact on Arizona’s economy.
Currently there are 11 approved dispensary locations, one of the newest being Jamestown Center, which opened March 28 in Eloy.
