Tempe police to host document shredding for residents

Tempe Police is hosting another spring document-shredding event Saturday to help protect against identity theft.
Residents can bring up to five boxes/bags of personal documents to be destroyed. Police said in the wrong hands, improperly disposed documents can be used in identity theft.
The free event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hardy Police Substation, near Warner Road and Hardy Drive.
Beside the shredding, police will be taking donations to help support the Special Olympics.
