PHOENIX — Sen. Jeff Flake’s offices in both Phoenix and Tucson will be the backdrop for a pro-gun control rally Tuesday afternoon.
“We want change, we want a new way to address gun violence,” said Hildy Saizow, Arizonans for Gun Safety. “We want smart measures that really work and address the problems.”
According to a press release, “residents who are victims of gun violence, doctors who’ve witnessed this violence firsthand and concerned citizens will gather outside Sen. Jeff Flake’s offices to press him to support gun violence prevention legislation.”
Flake is a key vote on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee which will be considering legislation, including universal background checks, this week.
