Arizona is planning to learn from a Newtown, Conn. shooting that killed nearly 30 people, said Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction John Huppenthal.
“It’s a senseless tragedy, he said. “We want to, here in Arizona, learn everything we can about this incident to make sure we’re protecting our students and ensuring their safety.”
Huppenthal said he feels that parents need to do their best to make sure tragedies like the shooting do not happen in Arizona communities.
