Many of the fastest growing jobs don’t require college education

Many of the fastest growing jobs in the U.S. don't require a four-year degree, according to a Bureau of Land Statistics report.
In the top 10 fastest growing occupations, skills such as carpentry, home health aides, plumbers and stonemasons make up the majority.
The fastest growing is that of personal care aide, which is projected to grow 70.5 percent by 2020. The average personal care aide salary is $19,640 a year.
One career, however that does require a four-year degree is biomedical engineering, which is the third fastest growing. It is estimated to increase 61.7 percent and has an average salary of $81,540.
Matthew Yglesias, writer for slate.com, said in an article that an increase in health care jobs will help employment because they are the jobs that most likely will not be replaced by automation.
“What will everyone do for work when everything is automated?” Yglesias asked. “They'll take care of old people and sick people, because people would rather interact with human beings if possible.”
