PHOENIX — Wednesday is National Pancake Day.

Rather than force all you nice people to Google a good spot to grab a flapjack, we thought we would put together the list below to give you some of the top places in Phoenix.

After all, on National Pancake Day, who would we be to get in between you and a delicious breakfast– or lunch or dinner?

So without further ado, here’s a list of some great pancake spots across the Valley.

The Original Pancake House

Set just outside of Old Town Scottsdale, the Original Pancake House is a genuine diner-style breakfast restaurant that serves 14 different styles of pancakes, ranging from Georgia Pecan to Bacon to Hawaiian.

Matt’s Big Breakfast

Located in downtown Phoenix, Matt’s Big Breakfast is a tiny — but popular — little breakfast spot which serves a version of pancakes that they advertise as “griddlecakes.”

Matt’s prides itself on cooking all of its breakfast entrees from scratch — mixing by hand, using cage-free eggs, and topping them with Vermont Grade A syrup.

If downtown isn’t your deal, there are also locations in the Biltmore and Phoenix Sky Harbor.

The Breakfast Club

Boasting locations in downtown Phoenix and downtown Scottsdale, The Breakfast Club may be hard to gain entrance to during peak breakfast hours, but enduring the line is well worth it.

The Breakfast Club’s Sweet Cream Pancakes, which come in a buckwheat mix, are incredibly popular with morning monsters across the Valley.

Daily Dose

Perhaps you crave cold weather as much as you do pancakes. If so, Daily Dose‘s gingerbread griddlecakes are just what the doctor ordered. You can also order a buttermilk or honey whole wheat batter and a variety of toppings are available with each.

Find Daily Dose in Old Town Scottsdale or near the Biltmore in Phoenix.

Joe’s Diner

Another throwback diner-style breakfast spot, Joe’s Diner on Seventh Avenue in central Phoenix boasts some of the best buttermilk pancakes in town.

They may well be the cheapest, too, with stacks of three ringing in under $5.

We want to hear from you.
