Here’s your new favorite comic book.
Dan White, the father of a girl with a disability, created a new comic book called The Department of Ability. The comic book features superheroes who have disabilities.
According to an interview with ABC News, White created the comic because he noticed a lack of characters that his daughter could relate to.
Emily, one of the characters in the comic book, has an airborne wheelchair and is named after White’s daughter. She was born with spina bifida.
Other characters include Pawsy the cheetah with a high-speed leg and Azazztaz, who has a bionic arm and is from outer space.
White is currently working on the comic and it will be released next year.
