Scottsdale police still investigating sexual assault cases
SCOTTSDALE — A day after alleged sexual assault suspect Ryan Joseph Festa was released from jail after a Maricopa County Superior Court judge ruled that police didn’t have enough probable cause to keep him behind bars, Sgt. Mark Clark said the Scottsdale Police Department full intends to continue its investigation.
Clark said Sunday that the SPD continues to evaluate the physical evidence and lab work that has begun to come in from the scenes of the two separate sexual assault cases from Oct. 18 and Oct. 24.
Currently, Festa is staying in a group home in Tempe and does not have to follow any sort of custody conditions following his release.
If anyone has any information regarding the respective cases, Scott urges you to either call the SPD or Silent Witness hotline.
