GLENDALE — It was supposed to be a routine assignment. One year ago, Glendale officer Bradley Jones accompanied a probation officer to a meeting with a convict, but Jones never made it home.
Police say the convict pulled out a gun, shot and killed the 27-year old husband and father of two.
The site of Jones’ murder, an apartment complex near 75th and Glendale Avenues will be the scene for a memorial and 24-hour vigil starting tomorrow.
On Monday morning at 10 a.m., a prayer and moment of silence will be held outside the Glendale police department. Jones’ family is expected to attend and the public is invited, as well. The prayer takes place at the Public Safety Memorial at 5700 W. Glenn Drive in Glendale.
