Phoenix boy riding bike hit by SUV, hospitalized

A boy has been taken to the hospital Monday morning after he was hit by an SUV while riding his bike in north Phoenix.

The accident happened near Greenway Road and 60th Street.

Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Larry Nunez said the boy, who, acccording to witnesses had to be pulled from underneath the vehicle, was awake and responsive.

No other details were immediately available.
