Gas prices affecting small businesses

Eating out could soon be more expensive, as small business owners grapple with keeping customers happy and protecting their bottom line.
Referring to deliveries, “When we get our stuff, they raise their prices or tack on an extra fee for gas and, of course, that hurts,” said Christopher Proffitt, who manages Stumpy’s Pizza and Subs in Phoenix. “We have to raise our price a little to compensate.”
It’s a situation that many businesses are facing.
“Of course that always sucks. We try to keep prices down as much as we can because we like to offer good food for good prices,” said Proffitt.
Attempting to satisfy their customer base might become more challenging as the price of fuel continues to steadily rise.
