According to a Rocky Mountain Poll, President Obama could make a play in Arizona.
Stan Barnes of Copper State Consulting Group told News/Talk 92.3 KTAR’s Karie & Chuck on Monday that he doesn’t believe that.
“It really is going to be about turn out,” said Barnes. “If turn out was high, percentage wise, among center left voters in Arizona then all could change.”
Historically, center right voters turn out in greater numbers according to Barnes.
The real question is who is most motivated to go vote.
“The hope among the center left, that the Latino population of Arizona, which is high percentage wise, is going to self-select to get out there and vote like conservative republican males in east Phoenix,” said Barnes. “Those kind of high percentages are what makes this state republican.”
