The Border Patrol apprehended a wanted man and seized drugs in several separate incidents on Thursday.
Ezequiel Fontes of Tucson was stopped by Border Patrol in Nogales, Ariz. Thursday. Using a national crime database, it was determined that Fontes was wanted in Maricopa County on a felony burglary warrant.
In another incident, Nogales agents at the Interstate 19 checkpoint recovered 1.2 pounds of heroin, worth about $16,200 on the street.
In the third incident, Ajo agents found an abandoned pick-up truck containing 1,360 pounds of marijuana, worth about $680,000.
All of the recovered drugs were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Agency.
