Phoenix Police arrest 1 in store robbery

PHOENIX — One suspect is in police custody while another remains at large, after an early-morning robbery at a west-side convenience store.
According to Phoenix Police, two armed men robbed the Circle K store at 23rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road, taking cash and cigarettes before tying up the clerk and leaving.
The suspects fled in an SUV. The erratic driving attracted the attention of an officer, who began pursuit. The suspects ended up in a cul-de-sac, where they fled the scene on foot.
Police blocked off several streets in the area of 23rd and Orangewood avenues. One suspect was captured in an apartment.
The clerk was unharmed.
