An arrest has been made in a string of armed robberies in Tempe and Mesa, the Tempe Police Department said in a release.
Gabriel Bedoy was arrested Sept. 30 for his alleged involvement in six robberies that occurred between Sept. 24 and Sept. 28.
Police said Bedoy allegedly entered the business, produced a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. After robbing the store, he would get into a vehicle and drive away.
“During each incident, he fled away in a suspect vehicle,” said Tempe Police Sgt. Jeff Glover.. “Fortunately, we were able to get a little bit of evidence from one of those robbery locations and we were able to identify him as the suspect.”
Bedoy allegedly committed the robberies in both Tempe and Mesa and his arrest came after the two cities collaborated to analyze evidence. He admitted to the crimes.
Bedoy faces charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.
