Surprise residents now have more public transit options with Valley Metro’s Dial-a-Ride service, who has partnered with Discount Cab.
Valley Metro’s Susan Tierny said the new service takes residents anywhere in the city for just a dollar.
Tierney said the new partnership will add more options for customers with disabilities and specific riding needs as well as seniors and the general public.
Tierny said there are a variety of vehicle options available depending on the person’s travel needs.
“They are allowed to schedule as many trips as they like and in return they do receive door-to-door service,” said Tierny. “It’s $1.00 to ride and $1.25 if you’re going outside the city to limited areas.”
The hours of service are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
