Decomposing human body parts were discovered in a canal near 387th and Orangewood Avenues in Tonopah.
At least two legs and a torso were found floating in the canal, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
MCSO’S Christopher Hegstrom said the body parts were spread out about a mile in distance in the canal.
“We don’t know if its male or female. We have no identification, nothing at all,” said Hegstrom.
The remains are with the medical examiner, who is trying to figure who the victim is and how he or she died.
