State Route 72 near Bouse has been reopened after a rupture in the Central Arizona Project canal caused flooding.
The Arizona Department of Transportation said Monday that water is still in the road but all lanes are open to traffic.
The rupture was reported about 2:30 a.m. Sunday by local water operators.
Water swept across the desert, and as a precaution, ADOT and the Department of Public Safety closed the highway.
Maintenance crews arrived at the scene shortly after the leak was reported.
