It may still be hovering in the 100s in the Valley, but in the higher country, fall is beginning to show its colors.
The first update from the National Forest Service arrived on Friday.
“There has been no color to report on the Apache-Sitgreaves, Coconino, Coronado or the Tonto National Forest at this time,” a recording said.
However, there is a bit of color change visible along Highway 67 north of the Grand Canyon.
The color peak is expected to be mid-October.
