Charges of animal cruelty against a Mesa man have been dropped because there was not sufficient evidence, police said.
Scott Andrew Graham, 39, was arrested Sept. 4 and charged in connection with the mutilation of several cats found near a strip mall beginning in early August.
Graham admitted to taking between 30 to 40 cats in the area but denied harming them. Police found evidence at the house and in the suspect’s car that led to the arrest.
