Choices, choices: Mesa to hold college fair
MESA, Ariz. — The Valley has a lot to offer when it comes to colleges. Friday, students can head to a college fair in the East Valley to find out what’s available.
Five small colleges that are offering classes in Mesa will be joining representatives from Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and Mesa Community College at the Mesa Counts on College expo at the Mesa Arts Center.
Mesa Economic Development Director Bill Jabjiniak said students can find out what educational opportunities are available in the Valley.
“We lose a lot of students out of state for different opportunities,” said Jabjiniak. “Now, the residents of the Greater Phoenix area have more options and more opportunities.”
Five smaller colleges will begin offering classes in Mesa, and will be participating in the college fair. They include:
• Albright College of Reading, Pennsylvania
• Benedictine University of Lisle, Illinois
• Upper Iowa University of Fayette, Iowa
• Wilkes University of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
• Westminster College of Fulton, Missouri
The event fair runs 3-6:30 p.m. Admission is free, but attendees must pre-register.
