Police searching for uncle who allegedly molested niece

Sep 13, 2012, 2:57 PM | Updated: 2:57 pm

Authorities are searching for a 56-year-old man who allegedly molested his niece multiple times in the month of May, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office said in a release.

The suspect, identified as Rosario Miguel Garcia, allegedly molested his 13-year-old niece multiple times during a two-week period in May of 2012. The girl told her mother, who confronted Garcia about the incidents. He fled the residence and has not been seen since.

Garcia may have fled to Mexico, but family members believe he is living in the United States, possible under a false name.

Garcia is described as being a Hispanic male, standing about 5-foot-8 and weighing 180 lbs. with brown hair and eyes.

Anyone with information on Garcia’s whereabouts is asked to contact YCSO at (928) 210-3843 or (928) 78-CRIME to submit an anonymous tips.

We want to hear from you.
