Scottsdale police investigate shooting

Scottsdale police are investigating a shooting that injured one man late Monday night.
The shooting occurred near Scottsdale Road and Williams Drive. The victim, a 39-year-old man from Tempe, suffered a minor injury in a leg.
The victim said he had intended to drop off a car at an auto shop at 7255 E. Adobe Drive around 10 p.m.
The shop was closed and the man drove away. He soon noticed a dark-colored truck following him so he made a U-turn at Williams Drive.
According to police, as he turned around the car, the driver of the truck fired a shot, that hit the Tempe man’s car door. After the driver of the truck sped off, the victim called police.
He was treated at Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital.
