PHOENIX — Two mountain rescues at Camelback Mountain this week aren’t stopping hikers from hitting the trails.
Crews have logged more than 130 mountain rescues this year. Two teenagers were brought down from the mountain Monday afternoon and the next day an out-of-towner was rescued.
“Try to come earlier in the day … just make sure [you have] lots of water, take your time going up,” said hiker Brandon Lambrecht. He had just made his way down Echo Canyon Trail with temperatures hovering near 100 degrees.
