PHOENIX — For the second consecutive year, Arizona State University is displaying a new look.
Last year, it was the new uniforms and this year the school will model the new Sun Devil Stadium experience based on tips from Disney.
Andy Rowdon with ASU said it’s trying to change the feel of the whole experience, from parking to concessions.
“It starts with little things, like how they greet you when you present tickets at the front gate, how they lay everything out so it helps the fan experience,” he said. “When you walk in if you need a stroller, it’s right there.”
Changes are also being made to the pregame walk that traditionally cut through the parking lot in front of the stadium. That’s being moved indoors.
“It’s a bigger opportunity for fans to interact with the team,” said Rowdon. “The players will be walking through [Wells Fargo Arena] and tossing footballs out to the crowd.”
Fans will also be able to vote for the uniforms the team wears against Utah and UCLA (homecoming).
