Man arrested on kidnapping, robbery charges

Aug 28, 2012, 4:51 PM | Updated: 4:52 pm

A man who allegedly forced three people into an apartment, robbed them and forced one of them to inhale methamphetamine has been arrested, police said.

The suspect, identified as Todd Alan Lee, 49, allegedly approached the victims on Aug. 16 as the 29-year-old victim was showing an apartment to the two 18-year-old victims.

Lee then forced the three of them into an apartment, where he robbed the two 18-year-olds and forced the 29-year-old to inhale the methamphetamine. The two younger victims were able to escape and call police and the last victim escaped shortly after.

Lee was not located in the area immediately after the crime, but a police training session at the complex brought up information about a suspicious vehicle that was seen in the area on the day of the crime. That vehicle was linked to Lee.

After the crime, Lee allegedly drove to the Thatcher/Stafford area, where he was located by police and apprehended after a short foot chase.

Lee was arrested on charges of three counts of kidnapping, two counts of attempted armed robbery, one count of armed robbery and one count of aggravated assault.

There is also charges pending against Lee in at least one other case.
