Arizona is middle of road in charitable donations

When it comes to charitable donations, Arizona is slightly better than the middle of the road.
According to philanthropy.org, Arizona ranked 20th in the nation for overall donations, with $2.4 billion going to charities.
The average Arizonan has an annual discretionary income of $52,924, with 4.6 percent of that being donated to charity, an average of $2,436 per person.
Overall, California donated the most of any state, with a total of $17.2 billion in contributions.
