Thousands of students are ready to move into the Arizona State University dorms and for many of them it’s the first time away from home.
A long line is expected to form at the ASU Student Services Building on Friday, as students from across the world move into the dorms.
Edward Bamsey from San Francisco is among the students who will be checking in at the Tempe campus Saturday and Sunday.
“It’s just going to take a little while to get used to,” he said. “I’m not really good yet on my own, so that’s going to take a little more time.”
Luis Padilla from Chandler said he’s nervous about being out of the house for the first time.
“Other than that, just excited to start school and meet new people,” he added.
Check-in at ASU’s Tempe, downtown and West Valley campuses is Saturday and Sunday.
Returning students and honors members will check into dorms Friday at the Polytechnic campus in Mesa.
