A Glendale woman who met a man on an online dating site was allegedly sexually assaulted by that same man, police said.
Glendale Police Officer Tracy Breeden said 49-year-old David Wright was arrested in Phoenix a few days after the attack.
“The victim courageously and immediately reported the attack to Glendale Police to find out that he was previously convicted of a sexual assault involving a serious sexually transmitted disease related to an attack in Florida almost 20 years ago,” she said.
Breeden said the woman went on one date with Wright, who attacked her in her apartment before a planned second date after asking if he could come in for a glass of water.
Breeden said Wright may be involved in other sexual assaults in the Phoenix area.
