PHOENIX – Flagstaff is ready to deal with a flood of Valley residents trying to escape the heat this weekend.
Heather Ainardi with the Flagstaff Convention and Visitors Bureau said anyone planning on going up to the high country should book a room soon.
“The weekends do get busy here,” she said. “A lot of the events see bigger crowds. Restaurants will be busier.”
Valley temperatures are expected to be in excess of 110 this weekend, while
Flagstaff highs should be in the low- to mid-eighties.
Other popular getaways are the White Mountains of eastern Arizona and San Diego.
