Kyl: Raising tax rates does not create new jobs

President Barack Obama is calling for a one-year extension of Bush-era tax cuts, but only for the middle class.
Republican leaders say they will push to continue tax cuts for all Americans, not just some. Arizona Sen. John Kyl said any tax hikes would put a damper on business.
“Raising marginal tax rates is no way to encourage aspiration or job creation,” he said. “It certainly imposes a wet blanket on the kind of risk taking that has helped build America. It’s merely redistribution under the guise of social justice.”
Kyl said tax hikes and bills, like Obamacare, need to be stopped because they give unaccountable regulators a lot of power.
“We can start by stopping tax hikes and bills like Obamacare that suck needed resources out of the economy and give unaccountable regulators immense power,” he said.
