Construction work has resumed on a portion of Interstate 17 between Camp Verde and the Sedona turnoff, the Arizona Department of Transportation said in a press release.
The work is scheduled to run through Friday. The repaving work will be conducted overnight from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Delays could be as long as 15 minutes.
The $4.2 million project’s goal include repaving the roadway and repairing guardrails and bridges and should be completed by September.
While this phase of construction is under way, the following restrictions will be in place:
Northbound I-17 will have alternating lane restrictions.
Monday, southbound I-17 will be down to one lane and the McGuireville rest area will be closed.
Wednesday and Thursday, southbound I-17 will have alternating lane restrictions beginning at the SR 179 exit.
