TUCSON — An airman assigned to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base’s 355th Security Forces Squadron was found dead of an unknown cause in a dormitory on base at about 8:20 a.m. today.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family. Cause of death is being investigated.

“The loss of this member of our Desert Lightning Team is a tragic and sad event,” said Col. James Meger, 355th Fighter Wing commander.

“My deepest condolences to the family and friends of our deceased airman during this difficult time.”
