Buzz building around new luxury Scottsdale live-work community

A new Scottsdale complex is offering some structure to the work-life balance of home-based entrepreneurs.

SoHo Scottsdale, an innovative new live-work townhome, loft and retail community, is preparing to open its Sales Center in north Scottsdale in the coming weeks, according to Real Estate Daily News.

The complex offers luxury three- and four-story townhomes ranging from approximately 2,243 square feet to 3,094 square feet, and luxury live-work lofts ranging from 2,004 to 3,548 square feet.

Prices for the townhomes and lofts range from approximately $601,200 to $1,184,700.

SoHo Scottsdale is a collaborative effort between developer Irene Clary of Catclar Investments and architect Bing Hu of H&S International.

“Scottsdale is known as a home base for many highly successful entrepreneurs,” Clary said. “Our vision was to create a community that specifically caters to this group, affording a luxury lifestyle for living where you work and loving where you live.”

Clary also touted technology as a key component in building SoHo Scottsdale, pointing out the built-in tech tools and state-of-the-art interfacing that will allow residents to work remotely and control aspects of their home and office space, such as lights, thermostats and garage doors, from personal electronic devices.

Some residents will also enjoy private rooftop decks with optional spas with their floorplans. Other on-site amenities will include a restaurant, bakery, coffee bar and central courtyard.

SoHo Scottsdale’s location at 92nd Street and Bahia Drive also puts the complex in close proximity to retail and area attractions along the Bell Road corridor and offers spectacular views of the McDowell Mountains and the surrounding landscape.

The combo live-work space design has been popular in Asia for some time now but is very unique to Arizona.  According to architect Bing Hu, “SoHo will be the coolest building in Scottsdale.”
