Suspicious fire destroys Tolleson church

PHOENIX — A suspicious early-morning Friday fire has destroyed a church in Tolleson.
The 50-year-old Mormon church near 95th Avenue and Van Buren Street served more than 1,000 members.
The blaze began between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Units from Avondale, Goodyear, Glendale and Phoenix helped to contain it by around 6:30 a.m.
Tolleson Fire Chief George Good said an investigation is under way.
