Power restored to Pinal County after dust storm

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — Power has been restored after hundreds of residents
in Pinal County experienced outages caused by a dust storm.
The Arizona Republic reported that Arizona Public Service
and Salt River Project were able to return service to customers by Thursday
morning.
An APS spokesman said about 200 customers lost their power Wednesday night.
SRP said an estimated 450 customers in Rio Verde were able to regain service
late Wednesday.
The National Weather Service reported Wednesday a dust storm more than 2,0 feet
high that brought visibility to a quarter-mile in some parts of metro Phoenix.
The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office said storm gusts reaching at least 40 mph
destroyed several structures in Eloy.
