Three injured in shooting in Phoenix home

PHOENIX – Police say three people were injured in a shooting at a Phoenix
home where a church group was gathered.
The Arizona Republic reports Phoenix police say
intruders pounded on the back door of a house at 83rd Avenue and Thomas Road at
midnight Friday.
Sgt. Tommy Thompson says someone in the home, where 20 people including 11
children were meeting, fired several shots from a handgun.
Police say the intruders returned fire from outside using a rifle.
Thompson says a 31-year-old man, 31-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were
hurt but their injuries were not life-threatening.
Authorities are looking for the intruders.
Thompson says someone had broken into the same house June 2.
